4. Add the diced tomato and tamarind paste. Mix well.
5. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
6. Add some salt and sugar to taste.
7. Lastly, add the fried fish into the curry.
8. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
9. Kari Ikan is ready to be served with piping hot rice or bread.
