Resepi Kari Sardin Che Nom / Sedapnya Ayam Kuzi dan Nasi Minyak

Okay, I need to wipe my drool off my phone first. Alright, so let's break down this recipe step by step.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of sardines
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon of garam masala powder
  • 1 piece of cinnamon stick
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions:

Let's start with the Kari Sardin Che Nom first:

  1. Heat up some oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until they are fragrant and slightly browned.
  2. Add in the chopped tomatoes and continue to cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  3. Add in all of the powdered spices (curry powder, chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder) along with the cinnamon stick, cardamom pod, and cloves. Stir well until everything is mixed evenly.
  4. Open up the can of sardines and add everything in the can (including the oil) to the pan. Stir everything together and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Add in a little bit of water if the mixture is too thick for your liking.
  6. Add salt and sugar to taste.
  7. Serve hot with some steamed rice.

Now let's move on to the Ayam Kuzi:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Heat up some oil in a pan and sauté the sliced onions until they are fragrant and slightly browned.
  3. Add in the grounded spices (cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder). Stir well until everything is mixed evenly.
  4. Add in the chicken pieces and stir everything together until the chicken is coated with the spice mixture.
  5. Let the chicken cook for a few minutes before adding in a little bit of water (about 1/2 cup). Let it simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Add salt and sugar to taste.
  7. Serve hot with some steamed rice or Nasi Minyak.

Lastly, let's make some Nasi Minyak:

  1. Wash the rice and set aside.
  2. Heat up some oil in a pot and sauté the sliced onions until they are fragrant and slightly browned.
  3. Add in the washed rice and stir everything together until the rice is coated with the oil and onions.
  4. Add in the water and let it come to a boil.
  5. Once it starts boiling, lower the heat and cover the pot. Let the rice cook for about 10-15 minutes or until all of the water is absorbed and the rice is fully cooked.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot with the Ayam Kuzi or Kari Sardin Che Nom.

There you have it folks! One tasty meal that will definitely satisfy your hunger. Try it out and let me know what you think!
